I started out being a labourer for a building company when I left school, I then got on a young person’s programme in a small bakery in north London. That was the start of my journey, I then got in to college at the Polytechnic of the south bank on a day release for Bakery & confectionery city and guilds Part 1 & 2.
This then lead me into the bakery and confectionery area for a number of years. When i moved to the Midlands in 1987 got a job with a company in food manufacturing; it was after a couple of years when the company got larger and moved that I realised that Planning and coordinating the equipment dismantle and moving and re-installing was exciting and challenging.
This lead me in to Project Management within the company, planning and installing major manufacturing plant, this just excited me more and I thrived on the challenges that confronted me (you know those unexpected issues). Since then I haven’t looked back and kept moving forward.
In 2010 I was made redundant so i set up LBB Project Management, within a year my company went Limited and continues to grow.
Over the 20 years plus I have handled Projects up to 5 million in value, I consider myself to be a very practical person and ensure that tasks are completed to budget and on time. I have excellent knowledge of food safety procedures and H&S regulations, particularly with regard to the bakery industry.
I am I.O.S.H and S.M.S.T.S. trained, and I am competent in the use of AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft Word & Excel etc.
Since owning my company I have been involved in projects in Africa, USA & UK.
